What is the STUF Music Video Challenge?
The STUF Music Video Challenge is an opportunity for local filmmakers to team up with local bands and to make a quality music video. This is also an opportunity to show Corpus Christi the talent that is has visually and musically.
Filmmakers Find a Band/Musician! Bands and Musicians find a filmmaker! or show up to the Kickoff and see if you can get paired up with someone!
So how does this happen?
STEP 1: Bands/musicians, Filmmakers or a representative must be present November 6th to Revolution Bar & Grill for Kickoff and Sign up as a Team or Get Paired up for Challenge. *Bands: Bring your CD with the song you want made into the video. * Prefer Bands/Musicians playing original music. * If you play covers and are interested in participating and be part of a documentary project in the works, stop by and sign up for that.
STEP 2: *$10 entry fee to compete. Split the cost between filmmaker and band, however you do it is up to you. *Sign Up after November 6th 2011: Entry Fee is $20. LAST DAY TO SIGN UP DEC. 4th, 2011.
STEP 3: Show up to the screening on Thursday December 18th to the music video premiere party!! Tell everyone to go to the STUF Music Video Challenge Screening!! There is an Audience award so the more people you get to go, the better your chances are to win the Audience vote.

STUF Revolution Film Challenge 11.27.11!

Filmmakers are allowed to make whatever Film they want to make.
Film length can be between 10 - 30min but if filmmakers wants to make a longer film, they can.
On Sunday Nov. 27th is the turn in and your film will be screened and audience and filmmaker voting will take place. Time TBA.

Winter FilmSlam! (12/14/11) December Event!

What's a Film Slam? A film slam is a competition at which filmmakers show their original work or works in progress. These films are then judged by members of the audience at the end of the competition. This is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!! So get there before time is booked. Filmmakers have 1 minute to introduce their film and 2-3 mins to answer questions after their film has screened. At the end of the night the audience will then vote anonymously on the top film and the winner receives a cash prize. So bring your STUF!

- Films start: 7pm / Voting: 10:30pm / $3.00 Cover
- Top Films to be announced after votes are counted
- One submission per person on DVD format.

This is part of our education series. South Texas Underground Film's Challenges are to educate and refresh filmmakers on film history and technique.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Russian Winter Challenge is for the filmmaker to use a hands on approach by using editing techniques/theories established by Sergei Eisenstein in the early1900's.

STUF 72cc: A 72hr Film Challenge March Event!

The rules are simple. You have 72 hours to make a short film (9 minutes max), it must have 5 essential elements (Genre, Character, Line of Dialogue, Prop, and Action) which are drawn from a hat at Kickoff.
- Kickoff: Thursday, March, 2012, 7pm! (Registration starts at 5:30am. Kickoff Meeting at 6:00pm).
- Turn In: Sunday, March, 2012, 72 hours later!
- Screening: TBD, March, 2012, 7pm with $3.00 cover. Filmmaker and Audience Awards to follow.

South Texas Underground Film announces its first annual South Texas Underground Film Festival 2012.
South Texas Underground Film Festival is an International film festival that celebrates films/media in these three categories:
*Cine de Curios is an international film festival that brings together films/media that are underground, insane and bizarre. The festival wishes to expose the public to the best in underground, insane and bizarre features, in-betweens, shorts, docs, animations and music videos.
SHOW US YOUR UNDIES and LET'S SEE YOUR STUF!
*STUF LGBT Film Festival is an international film festival that brings together films/videos by, about or of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals or transgendered/transexual people put on by South Texas Underground Film, PFLAG-Corpus Christi and GSA at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
*Sisterhood in Film and Music is an international film festival that celebrates film/media by and/or about women filmmakers. It also showcases women musicians.
South Texas Underground Film is currently seeking out films/media that have:
*films/media that have controversial, alternative, political and underground point's of view.
*films/media by, about, or of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, or
transgendered/transexual people
*films/media by, about or of interest to women
South Texas Underground Film Festival is a public platform that will celebrate these filmmakers visions.
